Schedule Emails in Gmail Using the Boomerang Extension

I never forget to schedule email and there is a particular reason behind it. A couple of years back I forgot to wish my game teacher on his birthday. It was a near miss. Send Later:

By using Boomerang for Gmail, you can always write an email on your light times and can set to send it later on a specific date and time. An extra bar will be added in your compose mail window after installing Boomerang. Take your time to write your mail and hit the red ‘Send Later’ button. You can chose from the given time or you can use the small calendar icon within it to put a specific date and time.

You can even add your own time with list of given times. Click the gear button at the corner of the Send button window. Add a time and hit the update menu button. Add your time in the menu will save you from picking a time from the calendar every time you send an email. You can add a time like Jan 01 2015 00:01 AM to send New Year wishes to your friends.

Track Response:

This feature of Boomerang for Gmail is really useful if you seek a response from your recipient. Whenever you compose a mail you should click on the check box next to the ‘Send Later’ button and give it a certain period of time. You can choose any option from the last drop down on this bar to track the response in certain conditions like, if not open or if not replied. If you didn’t get an answer within a given period, the sent mail will be replaced at the top of your inbox to remind you, so that you can carry out with other mails.

Boomerang Reminder:

Want to look into some important emails later in your free time? Boomerang for Gmail will help you with this. When you open a particular mail you will get a Boomerang icon at the right hand side. Click it and set a specific time or choose a random time just as before to get back the mail at the top of your inbox at the right time so that you can check in the mail without any hurry.

You can add a note with those emails also. When the mail will reappear to you, the note will be tacked to it. You need to click on the icon at the left side of the gear icon on the boomerang window. Add your note and hit save.
